Fisherman Angel Pin
Designed
by request of Alan's niece.
My cousin Jessica is getting married on 4/25/2009. On January 27th 2008 we lost
her dad, my uncle, Alan to lung cancer. He did not spend Christmas with us that
year because he was misdiagnosed with pneumonia at the local hospital. Soon
after, Alan was air lifted to a better hospital in the twin cities where they
would later diagnose him with lung cancer on January 8th 2008. He was suppose
to be able to go home and live comfortably with oxygen until he was strong
enough to except chemo, little did we know the cancer was so aggressive and we
would lose him in 19 days after he was diagnosed. Alan wasn't just my uncle, a
father, grandfather, brother or son, he was best-friends with everyone he
encountered. More then 500 people showed up for his funeral and on many
occasions I heard stories from friends that talked about their "Uncle Al"
Personally in my life, Al was like my "local dad" (my dad lives 3 hours away).
Al would help me with car troubles, he was my fishing buddy, bingo partner, my
friend, anything I needed Al was there to help me thru like I was his own child.
Jessica had high hopes that her dad would still be able to walk her down the
aisle and now, Alan's brothers will fill his shoes and walk with her. The
wedding has been postponed for over a year and now the big day is finally
approaching. We are expecting a lot of tears of happy and sad and will
hopefully make it thru the day without any major breakdowns. I am a bridesmaid
in this wedding and would like to give Jess a symbol of her dad to carry her
through the wedding day. I am looking for a small token that she can pin on her
dress or pin to her bouquet. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it and
apologize for the short notice.
Engraving is available on this design. Be sure to put engraving
instructions in the comment section of the order form. If no instructions
are included, the angel will be shipped without engraving.
We can also add a birthstone on this angel, just be sure to include the birth
month in the comments section of the order form, as well. If no
instructions are included, angel will be shipped without a birthstone.
