This angel was a custom design requested by Emily's mom.

Emmy Jo was our little princess. She was beautiful with a ton of dark hair, perfect rosebud lips, big cheeks, perfect for pinching and as my husband says. thighs like her mother.  Although we only had the honor of having her here on earth for three days she touched so many.  Our families were with us for the three days.  She would have stolen her daddy's heart.  I'm sure she would have talked him into anything (including a horse).  Her brothers would have taught her many things, not all good. And of course she would have many shoes and love to shop. However, we pictured her as growing up a tomboy. She would have been the apple of both her grandpas' eyes, not to mention both grandmas as well.  We miss her so much and our boys go through spurts and occasionally cry and tell us how much they miss her.  In October she would have celebrated her second birthday.  I often wonder if her hair would have stayed dark or if she would have turned blonde like the boys.  Someday I guess we'll find out.

The cause of Emily's death was lack of O2.  After an uncomplicated few hours of laboring  (I was induced), Thinks went  bad.  The pain was unbearable, my uterus had ruptured and after a red line C-section she was born and flown out to a bigger more equipped hospital.  My husband and his sister went immediately and I was ambulanced  out the next day.  Both families and many friends rallied around for moral support. They were all great!
