Delaney Angel Pin

This angel was our Name the Angel Pin Contest for March, 2011.

There is a little Angel (Delaney Wadsworth) from Sinclair, Wyoming who now lives in Windsor, Colorado who is three years old – she will probably not see 4 and her birthday is this month.

On July 3, 2010 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that is the size of a golf ball on her brain stem and it is now the size of a grapefruit – that was later diagnosed as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. The neurologists and oncologists of Denver Children’s Hospital have deemed the tumor inoperable due to its location.

DIPG is a brain tumor that effects children of all ages most most commonly ages 5-9. Children who have been given this diagnosis are given 9-12 months to live and only a 5% chance of living longer than a year.

There is a page on FaceBook entitled Prayers for Delaney and they have almost 24,000 supporters. This little girl has touched so many lives in the short time that she has been on this earth. They are giving Delaney only weeks to live. Delaney has told her parents that she is ready to go home to Jesus. Thus, I would like this little angel to be named “Delaney”.
