Craig, Army Angel Pin
I just discovered your pins and
your web-site. My mother is a Gold Star Mother. My brother, SGT Craig
L. Nelson, died December 29, 2004 from injuries sustained in Iraq on
December 16, 2004 from an improvised explosive devise (IED). The Blue
Star Mothers in Louisiana held a luncheon for the Gold Star Mothers. My
mother was unable to attend this year but they were nice enough to send
her the Gold Star Mother Angel Pin. We both loved the pin but I was
wondering if you could make an angel pin that looks like a soldier and
name him Craig after my little brother who proudly served his country.
I feel him with me everyday and know that he sees me and my mom through.
When I sent the
picture of the design out, this was the e-mail I got back...
I am shocked!!!!!! I absolutely
love it!!!!!!!! I can't believe you did this that quick. I think it is
more fitting for me since I am not a Gold Star Mother but a Gold Star
Sister. You will never know how much I appreciate this. My little
brother and I were close even though there was a 7 1/2 year age difference
between us and he loved my little boy with all of his heart. He told me
and my mom that one of the reasons he wanted to serve his country in Iraq
was to make this world a better place for my little boy. I miss him very,
very much but I know he is in heaven watching over me and my family.
Thank you again so much.
