Cousins in Heaven Angel Pin
This angel was a custom
design.
Our family has endured so much pain as we have lost two
beautiful young women within 15 months, OUR SHARI, 41, AND OUR KANDA, 30, but
since KANDA already has two
designed pins by Carla's Angels and a web site, this story is about OUR SHARI
. Born July 6, 1964, Shari stole the hearts
of our entire family with her easy way, feeling at home
everywhere as though she belonged to all of us. She was a very happy child,
growing into a very busy
teenager, playing a flute in the band since 5th grade and marching as a
Majorette. She had great dreams, most of those she fulfilled, although
she went a different direction
accomplishing what she had planned for her life, much tougher, but in the end,
everything she planned became a reality.
Being a single mom and working full time, Shari took college
courses at night, studied, pursuing her dream until she received her Masters
Degree. She raised her daughter, Karissa, in
Evansville, Indiana and eventually moved to Tampa, Florida, getting the job of
her lifetime. She was so very happy, loved living
in Florida, became a grandma of a gorgeous baby boy. It just seemed life was SO
GOOD, SO VERY GOOD and all
her previous hard work was worth everything she had endured to get to where she
was, but LIFE CAN BE SUCH A MYSTERY WITH SO
MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS.
Shari was diagnosed with breast cancer in the spring of 04,
but she was very optimistic, finishing her Chemo, so happy thinking she was
through with the treatments
and could go back to a normal life, but within just a month or so, she became
very ill and the cancer had then spread to
her liver. Even knowing this diagnosis, she still tried to
stay positive, continued working as much as possible, but we lost our precious
Shari on her 41st birthday of 05.
Riding with her friends on her Purple Harley Motorcycle, Shari
so very much made every moment of her life count just as with all the traveling
she did in the short time
she had on this earth. She was a very positive person even as she fought her
battle with cancer.
Shari started a web site which is also linked to Kanda's web
site. As she shared her journal with all who visited, it was very easy to see
that she was planning to be
cancer free upon completion of her Chemo, explaining in detail everything
happening in the year of her treatment for breast cancer.
