This angel was a custom design,
requested by Dominique's Mother.
My interest is making an angel for my
Daughter, Dominique. The 9th of October will be the anniversary of her passing
in 2001. I meet many people in my journey and I know if I gave them something
special of her then that would make a difference in them and their journey.
You are so awesome to make this for
her. It's so weird that I am writing you on the exact day she passed away. I
love the heart and I think that says it all. I wanted to share something with
you before you made the angel but I am going to share it with you anyway. The
night she passed away a sister of the church came with a basket full of
stones to Dominique's room in intensive care. She asked us to close our eyes
and think about Dominique, and God, and choose a stone without looking. I chose
the stone with the word light on it. Since she has been gone I have had so many
things happen to me with light, it is indescribable. My son drew the "Prayer"
stone and decided he really didn't want that one, and so he wanted to choose
again. He got the same word on a "Different" Stone. Please know that everyone
who chose a stone at her funeral has had profound experiences with that "word"
on that stone. The reason I chose to tell you that little story was that
I originally thought about an angel holding a candle. I really adore what you
came up with and I know she would love it as well. Everything about her had
something pink in it. Please don't ever stop what you are doing as I know it
brings comfort to so many.
