Sarah Angel Pin
This angel was winner of
the "Name the Angel" Contest.
The April angel reminds me
of my co-worker at Turner Elementary. Sarah is a first grade teacher
and angel in disguise. The small stature of the April angel makes
me think of how Sarah is humble - not willing to flaunt or boast of her
abilities. Yet, she is able to maintain a classroom of 20 or more children
without ever raising her voice above a whisper. She is kind and thoughtful
often sending sweet treats with little notes to brighten our day.
She not only teaches the children, but we learn from her as well - little
things, for Sarah's ways are simple yet perfect.
The twisted halo and wire
wings that adorn the April angel is evidence that Sarah has had some trials
in her life. Everything has not always been easy. Even so,
her angelic smile has never faded. That's why the April angel
has a pearl face. When one gazes upon the bright glow of such a simple
yet perfect gem, we're reminded that angels, like Sarah walk among us.
