This angel was designed for our monthly name the angel contest for December, 2004.

My mother-in-law, Fae, passed away last Wednesday. She was an incredible woman of faith throughout her life.  She lived each day as "another day of grace". Each visitor, care-giver, and volunteer was touched by her love for the Lord, the hope which filled her,  and her lack of fear of death.  She lived in the same home for 65 years with Ed, her husband, since the day they were married.  Ed loved to bring her wildflowers from the fields where he farmed. In recent years he lovingly tended a rose garden for her. Since the first day of her illness he has kept a rose at her bedside all of the time. The rose is many times seen as a symbol of faith. This angel to me clearly symbolizes Fae's commitment to her faith, her God, and her loving husband.
