Barry's family always called
him "Bear", so when asked, "What is the one thing that makes you think
of Barry?", it was unanimous - a bear. Barry was a Deputy with the
Harris County Sheriff's Department and lost his life in the line of duty.
His family is very active with an organization called Greater Houston Concerns
of Police Survivors (GHCOPS). COPS is a national organization created
to help families of fallen law enforcement officers put the pieces of their
lives back together. GHCOPS is a local chapter of COPS. |
