Addison Angel Pin
Hi Carla - I found your sight a few
months ago and just love what you are doing. What a blessing you are to
many. I would like to request a custom angel if I may. . .
My story:
We had our 3rd child last summer - Addison Rose Love - born July 19, 2005,
seemingly perfect. After a few short hours, doctors realized something was
very wrong. Addison spend 24 hours in the NICU at a Des Moines hospital where
she was born. She was then life-flighted to a children's hospital in Iowa
City. There, she was diagnosed with a Rhabdoid Tumor of the Kidney. Rhabdoid
Tumors are a very aggressive and rare cancer. They are typically found in
children less than 2 years of age. Addison's cancerous tumor took her life
far too soon. Her short 9 days on earth were a blessing to all of us - and
now she dances with Jesus in Heaven.
This summer I am doing a fund raising event to raise much needed money for
pediatric cancer research. For those that help with this event, close friends
and family, I would like to design an angel in Addison's memory to give to
them.
Things that could be included in the angel surround Addison's name:
Addison - Named after the road by Wrigley field so a baseball on it would be
great.
Rose - A Rose (I really like the one on your angel Jennifer)
Love - A heart (I like the heart on your angel Kirsten)
Her birthstone was a ruby.
