This angel pin was the design for our November, 2010 Name
the Angel Contest. This is the entry that won.
My angel story is a hard one to write as the wound is still
so fresh and open. I think this little angel should be named Addison Grace,
in honor and memory of my grand daughter who was whisked away by our Father
on March 25th of this year. Addison was my son and daughter-in-laws only
child and I honestly haven’t seen two people give up so much and love so
purely in a long time. The pregnancy had many difficult moments and scares
but in the end Addison was born on December 16th, 2009, perfectly healthy.
What a beautiful little bundle who had equal parts of mommy and daddy both.
What a wonderful Christmas present she was to us last year.
Everything changed on March 25th……I got a call from my son
at 10:24 that Thursday morning, I will never forget the time or where I was.
You see, Addison was at her other grandmothers house and had been put down
to take a nap. When she went to check on her she was gone. Just that quickly
our lives were ripped apart, a mommy and daddy left with empty arms and
broken hearts. Our little Addison Grace touched so many people in such a
short time. I can’t tell you the people who have let us know that just from
her story, their lives have changed. What a great honor I would have to
present my daughter-in-law with a pin that was named after our sweet, sweet
Addison Grace.
Thank you for reading our story and considering naming
your pin after our ANGEL.
